The Role:

The role will include responsibility for designing and developing state of the art electrical and electronic circuit modules as well as familiarity with embedded software developments for specific functions; undertaking design verification; undertaking cost benefit analysis of new components and design ideas; providing technical support to other departments where necessary and introducing innovative ideas to design and improve the quality and reliability of circuit modules and the machines as a whole.

Personal qualities should include an excellent planning and organisational ability, good communications skills and excellent team player.

The Candidate:

Successful candidates will hold a good degree in Electronic Engineering, Pure Engineering, Computing or possibly Physics and have several years industrial experience in analogue and digital electronics including embedded processor design. You should also ideally possess experience of FPGA design using VHDL and/or CPLD and have experience of using CAD systems such as Altium Designer/DXP, Mentor to capture PCB schematics, PCB layout and simulation tools.
