We believe research is utterly important for companies who want to stay up to date and to compete within the market. Many companies are choosing not to incur the cost of having their own permanent research group and facility but on occasion find that their product or technology development plans necessitate that research be undertaken. Electra Design ltd is able to provide contract electronics research and development services on behalf of such organizations. This research can take the form of implementing new technologies, investigating the achievable performance or characteristics of existing technologies or developing innovative solutions to technical problems at a product or system level.

In addition to sub-contract research programmes, Electra Designs has undertaken internally funded research work and has resulted in the development of innovative products such as “Novel blood clot detector” and “EBG transmission lines”.
