Electra Designs Ltd is an independent professional and innovative Electronics
and PCB Layout design, PCB manufacturing and assembly services provider in the
north west of England. We provide first-class electronics design and help our
customers to get from proposal to product, painlessly. Our clients range from
one-man with an idea through to large well-known companies with a family of
retail products.
The Role:
You will be working in a small and dynamic team of electronic design engineers
and software developers, to create the next generation instrumentation platforms. Your responsibilities include specification,
conceptual design and development of complex automated systems, implementation, prototyping, testing and manufacturing
hand-over, as well as the evaluation of new technologies and design approaches.
The Candidate:
You are likely to be an Engineering graduate with experience in state of the
art digital design, as well as familiarity with embedded software developments.
You will have hands on experience in most of the following areas:
Microprocessors / DSPs, FPGA/CPLD, PCB design and manufacturing, expertise of
VHDL, Verilog, recognised CAD tools, industrial networking, and motion control.
Knowledge of RTOS and previous involvement at system architect level is
desirable. Previous experience with electronics and embedded system design and
familiarity with OrCad, Altium DXP/Nexar would be advantageous.
